Futures Broker
A futures broker is much like a regular broker who may also perform dealings concerning stock shares and goods from other markets other than the futures market. As brokers are generally categorised into two types, the same is true for a futures broker. The two categories of brokers are full-service and discount. Full-service brokers are usually more expensive but should provide a much wider range of services, especially for first-time investors. Although these brokers charge extra, they make problems easier to deal with and can also offer guidance in decision making.
Discount brokers, as the name implies, are usually relatively less expensive than full serivce brokers. The reason discount brokers are cheaper is that they do provide the array of services that a full service broker can; all decision making and analysis is done by the investor.
Why would you need a futures broker?
Simply put, a futures broker makes trading in a futures market easier. It is a good idea to employ the services of a futures broker especially if one is not yet familiar with futures trading.
Aside from being well-versed with market operations, a futures broker may well provide other services which could benefit an investor.
